Tea & Tapping: Calming Holiday Stress

  • Starrlight Mead 130 Lorax Lane Pittsboro United States (map)

The holidays can be a wonderful time of year, but Thanksgiving and Christmas can also bring a lot of stress, pressure, and emotional challenges. Many people experience a mix of financial, family, social, and personal stressors during this season.

In this new holiday offering, we’ll combine tea and tapping. Herbal teas can contain tasty herbs that are calming, relaxing or sedating. Sipping on a hot mug of tea is a soothing ritual all on its own. But when we combine it with gentle acupressure tapping, sending an additional calming signal to the brain, it can do wonders to reduce the anxiety, overwhelm, and fear surrounding the holidays.

Join us for 6 weeks (with an optional 7th week before the New Year) to explore with gentle curiosity the stress surrounding the holidays, including topics like:
Heading Home for the Holidays – dealing with family
The Cost of the Holidays – dealing with budgets and money decisions
So Many Parties, So Little Time – scheduling and prep overwhelm
Over the River and Through the Woods – traveling during the holidays
But it Needs to be Perfect – easing perfectionism
Merry and Bright – dealing with big feelings during the holidays

Optional – Happy New Year – moving into the New Year

Participants will select the topics which are most important to them.  Each week, we’ll meet in community to enjoy a mug of warm herbal tea (recipes included) and use gentle EFT Tapping to ease these common stressors.
Tuesday evenings, 7-8 pm, from Tues, 11/17 through 12/22, with the option of an additional meeting on Dec 29. $15/session. Pay online below, or with cash or Venmo in person.

One important reminder: You can love your family and still find family gatherings stressful. You can appreciate the holidays and still feel sad, tired, or overwhelmed. You can be grateful for what you have and still struggle with what is difficult.

The holidays don't have to be perfect to be meaningful. Sometimes, reducing expectations, setting boundaries, simplifying traditions, and making room for your own emotional needs can make the season much more manageable.
