“Joe’s Ancient Orange” is a well-loved homebrew recipe that has been duplicated for years. If you’ve attended one of our Beginning Mead Making classes, you’ve seen Ben make it as the recipe that breaks all the rules that you just spent hours learning. Ben has wanted to make it as a commercial recipe for a long time and it’s finally come true!
Warming spices, oranges, and semi-sweet bliss are great words to describe this mead. We’re excited to bring this fun mead out in October 2026!

For the first time in the history of Starrlight Mead, we’re allowing Mead Club members only to preorder bottles of this fun mead. Because we’ve never done this before, there are a few rules:
