Intermediate Mead Making – Metheglins: Adding Herbs and Spices
Class: Saturday, Oct 25, 2025, 10-1
In this intermediate class, we will talk about metheglins, or mead with herbs or spices. Does it make a difference if you add the herbs in the primary, secondary, or after fermentation? We’ll answer all these questions and more. We’ll also taste some examples of different metheglins.
$50 single, $75 for two people
See additional info below for requirements for this class!
Class takes place on Oct 25, 2025 from 10 am - 1 pm at the meadery in Pittsboro. All class participants MUST be over 21! No exceptions. Must sign up by Oct 22.
IMPORTANT: This is an intermediate class and attendees must have a basic understanding of home mead making processes, equipment, and terms and have made a few home mead batches. Although we love Joe’s Ancient Orange, it does NOT qualify as mead making experience!
